I was intrigued by the title. My sister bought it, she has been faithfully supporting Paolo’s books until this one. Since the author has been charting the Best sellers board so often, I decided to
give it a try.
Sadly, after strong peserverance to finish it. It seems more like a religious book.
I continued reading it as I can’t believe that it’s so way below my expectation of it.
This is the first Paolo book I read and it’s certainly not a impressive first encounter at all. Instead it felt disturbing as one have to constantly remind oneself that this is fiction. Hence we should not take the spiritual encounter in the story seriously.
I tend to agree that, for a couple, Love is a conscious decision to commit to one another in their life journey. It should not be based on temporal, unreliable sudden pangs of affections only.
I do not agree with the story way of Love. It seems unwise and desperate.
It led me to wonder if the author is simply banking on his famous name to simply launch another book. If not, it’s a story to promote for some religion.
