Show Business is the Story of "Ashok Banjara" a Bollywood Superstar. The novel starts with Ashok Banjara lying suspended between life and death in the intensive care unit of a hospital, watching his entire life in Bollywood flashing in front of his eyes like a technicolor film.
The book is entirely in flashback and the author narrates Banjara’s story through a procession of first-person narratives by Banjara himself. Banjara the son of a profilic politician leaves theatre and moves to Mumbai to become a star. All this he has done agianst the will of his parents.
