Material Science Empty
PostSubject: Material Science   Material Science EmptySun Feb 08, 2009 5:24 am

In mechanical engineering, there is a subject called material science. I think most of you have it too. While verifying some books, I found some real variations in the topics covered. Some books have classified the whole subject into 5 type of materials and under these headings, the science of these materials have been discussed. In some books like Avner, stress is given on crystal structure, followed by steel and its alloys, iron carbide, heat treatment and so forth. Under the same subject I guess there is a wide variation from college to college I guess. Which books do you guys follow for MS??
