Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme - (SEGS) Empty
PostSubject: Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme - (SEGS)   Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme - (SEGS) EmptySun Feb 22, 2009 5:37 am

Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme (SEGS) launched in 2004, enables non-EEA nationals, who have done their graduation from UK; higher or further education establishments in certain mathematics, engineering and physical sciences subjects to stay back in UK for a period of one year in order to pursue a career. Under the scheme, applicants can apply for leave, if they have extant leave as a student. Entry clearance is compulsory for the applicants who seek to leave to enter under the science and engineering graduate scheme.

The Department for Education and Skills (DfES) has come up with a list of eligible Science and Engineering courses, which are identified as being in short supply. Only students who have studied approved courses are eligible to apply for leave, under the scheme.
